I don't like visible nail line (VNL) but I love the look of this enough to forgive it. I used Zoya Frida and started painting at my nail tip. I did one coat up to the first fourth of the nail, then next you do to the halfway mark, third is to the 3/4 mark and then I finished with two full coats. It looks great in real life and I adore this range of jelly colours by Zoya, they are easy to use and so glossy. Dry time is a little longer than usual but that just means I need to be more patient :)
TGIF!!! Have an amazing weekend Tx
Lovely! I've never tried a jelly gradient.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite pretty! Though I think it's more of a syrup (a.k.a. sugar syrup) nail art technique than a flat-out gradient. See http://www.polishinsomniac.net/2012/03/how-to-syrup-nails.html. She says, "Syrup manicures are a form of gradient using a single jelly polish for the entire gradient." Regardless of what the nail art technique is actually called, you executed it flawlessly...very beautiful. I'm not a fan of the color green but this is the second mani I love that has used Frida. I guess I'm going to have to break down and buy it. (Just in case you're curious, the other mani is at http://oliveviewfashion.com/2013/04/21/the-manicure-that-started-it-all/. (Be sure to click on the picture to enlarge it so you can see the layers to the mani in all their glory.) Thank you! Delphi
ReplyDeleteI have this color and it is soooo pretty. I also do not care for a VNL so I use a nude color first and then apply Frida or whatever jelly I want. I love how you did this gradient. I'm going to have to give this a go but with some panties on under Frida. =)
