Halloween Skittlette - orange and black

I'm back with another black and orange design, earlier in the week I couldn't choose whether to do this one or the one with stripes and dots I did do. So now I got to try this one out. The black is the super black from Celestial Cosmetics Apocalypse that is a one coater. The orange is butter London Sunbaker and the glitter is Grace-full Nail Polish - Spicy available soon. I liked my design earlier in the week and really like this one too, this one is a little more classic looking.

Hope your weekend is going well, Tx

Navy skittlette stripes and glitter

I love Navy it's such a classic colour that suits any occasion and goes with just about everything. The navy on my Index and pinkie is Navy Star by Cate Ruby, I used Zoya Dove to make the stripes and the glitter is one from my upcoming collection. I added some silver studs to complete the design. The heart is easily made with a hole punch and some tape. You then just place the tape over your dry design and paint the heart left in the tape.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, Tx

Hot Pink Skittlette

Hi everyone! firstly I will apologise in advance, Wave of Polish requires a lot of work and my posts here will probably be sporadic over the next few weeks. I will still post here I just may not make every day posts :)

Today's look is a pink I actually like - shock, horror! I used Zoya Reagan for my index and pinkie and to me it's a pretty ok pink :). The glitter is one from Grace-full Nail Polish that will be available when I open my shop sometime after Wave of Polish. It's called Passion and will be a part of my Nailed It accent collection where I will be selling glitter polishes in the one colour that are just perfect for accent nails. The dots with a top off centre dot, I  really don't know what they're called officially but I do like them :)

Have a wonderful day, Tx

Rimmel Do Not Disturb skittlette NOTD

I love swatching but I love wearing nail art on my nails, so today you get two posts :) I've been sent some Rimmel one coat 60 second polishes to review. I'll do swatches and a write up all about them soon. It's just when I saw this one I had to wear it. I love how it's a light teal, that can even look bright blue under certain lights. So I did a skittlette, my middle finger has the gorgeous to be released soon Powder Perfect Storm Rainbow, you're going to NEED this one so save your money. It's a 100 times more sparkly in person. On my ring finger I used a white base and stamped with Lilyanna plate 11 and China Glaze Awaken. I love the final look :)

Have a great day, Tx

Rose Skittlette

Hey there. Today's post is one of my favourites as it combines two of my favourite things, a rich gorgeous green and roses :). I wouldn't like to know how many green polishes I own but it is hard to find a nice bright rich green that is green and not heading into blue/green/teal colour. This one from Catrice is I'm Not a Greenager and application was faultless. The glitter on my middle finger started off as Essie Beyond Cosy but as it has gold and silver glitter it was over powered by the gold stamping and studs so I added a coat of Bella Belle Golden Helm to even it out. The stamping was done with China Glaze Passion and Moyou Mother Nature plate 11. I hope you enjoy this design as much as I do.

Yay for Fridays!! Tx.

NOTD OPI Ski Teal We Drop and Solitaire Skittlette

Here's what I'm wearing today. I've only just bought OPI Ski Teal We Drop and I just love it. It's the perfect deep dark teal and has a gorgeous creme finish. I paired it in this look with OPI Solitaire a white based liquid sand with silver shimmer. I stamped with moyou Pro Plate 10 and China Glaze Awaken. I love this look, and the polishes, I'm not sure I'll want to take it off :). It's perfect for a winters day.

Yay for Friday! Tx

Zoya Kieko skittlette

Hello everyone, hope your weekend is going fabulously. We bought a new puppy into our famil so our weekend has been very busy so far. It's amazing how soon you forget how busy puppy's are until you have another one :)

Here's Finn a 10 wk old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel - he's just adorable.

Right onto nails. I used Zoya Kieko in my index and pinkie. Yes it's a pink and you know I'm not a fan but I don't mind this one.I used another amazing micro glitter in pewter from Hollish Nails on my middle finger. Then I used a white base with a stamp from Princess collection from Moyou plate 14 and China Glaze Awaken as a stamping polish. Very easy to do and I love how it looks, those little flowers are cute!

Enjoy your Sunday, Tx.

NOTD Zoya Monica and Zoya Kendal

Hi everyone! The nail design I am wearing today is a purple skittlette. I love Zoya Monica it's such a gorgeous deep purple creme. I decided to combine it with Zoya Kendal a grey soft lilac colour creme. Sometimes it's hard to pick a polish to accentuate the main colour you want to wear, my hubby would say it's because I have too much choice but we all know that's just not possible :). I used Zoya Trixie for the line down the half and half design. Zoyas really are my favourite mainstream brand, the cremes usually have the perfect formula and I love the colour pigmentation and how thin you can get the coats.

Have a wonderful day, Tx

NOTD - Zoya Toni skittlette

Hello everyone, it's been a really cold night here, I hope you all stay warm wherever you are. I love winter but I also love to hate winter, and where I live is one of the coldest areas in Australia. One bonus to the colder weather is to be able to drag out the deeper darker colours. For today I have Zoya Toni in a gorgeous rich deep red on my index and pinkie, my middle finger is a England Merlin and I stamped with China Glaze Awaken and a Messy Mansion plate MM06. Now some nail people don't like the word skittlette, I'm not really fussed one way or another but it is handy to have a name for a look. A skittlette comes from the word skittle that we talked about early but instead of every nail being different usually at least two are the same. I know, right, you learn something new everyday :)

Hope you have a great day, Tx.

NOTD - Zebra Skittlette

I thought I'd start sharing with you my NOTD (nail of the day) or in other words what I'm wearing on my nails today. I chose OPI Bogota Blackberry for my index and pinkie, I love deep reds, this one is just those few shades below bright red and just so perfect for this time of year. I have OPI Honey Ryder on my middle finger, as I love a gold accent nail and to add contrast I put a Zebra print on my ring finger. The Zebra print was done with a decal from Nail Vinyls. I added some gold studs and I love how it all came together. I think it's going to be one of those days that I kept looking at my nails :)

Have a fabulous Thursday! Tx

Zoya Dillon - Skittlette

Sigh isn't this green just beautiful? I am so in love with Zoya's Awaken collection. Of course the first one I had to try out was Dillon - a gorgeous seafoam green metallic with a silver shimmer. For this look I used Essie Fashion Playground as the mint green background on the zigzag pattern and China Glaze Optical Illusion is the glitter on my middle finger. I really love this green, it's so soft and dreamy.

Have a great day, Tx.

Sea Siren skittlette - Motion of the Ocean and Bronzed Siren

I love mint green so much but hate that it turns my hands into red lobster hands :(. Still I love it enough to keep wearing it and enjoying it. Today's look uses Sea Siren Motion of the Ocean and Sea Siren Bronzed Siren. I used striping tape for the lines and a med small dotting tool for the flowers. Apart from having reddish hands I really loved this look.

Review and swatches of Motion of the Ocean and Bronzed Siren coming up next.

X Nail Glitter Design

Today's look has an X nail design - at least I think it's called an X nail, we'll call it that as it does look like an X ;). I stupidly forgot to take a photo when I had taped it up but I will try to remember next time so I can give you a tutorial on how to achieve the look. I love it and think it adds a wow factor. The gorgeous green is a custom creme by Celestial Cosmetics, isn't it just beautiful? The glitter is Essie Beyond Cozy and if you only buy one micro glitter this should be the one, it has both gold and silver specks which allows you to use it in any number of looks. It applies beautiful and isn't too gritty when dry.

It's Friday, it's Friday, I'm looking forward to the weekend :D Tx.

Cate Ruby Aquatic skittlette

Well it's been stinking hot for this Tasmanian girl. That means the thermometer might not read as high as other places in Australia but it is definitely hot for where I live. I love summer, I truly do but the very hot days and hot nights aren't my favourite part. I know many of you will be in very cold conditions, reading me complaining about being hot :) sorry about that but there is a nice medium there somewhere. Ok on to this skittlette, I used one of my all time fav Australian brands Cate Ruby, I love the quality of their cremes and this one, Aquatic didn't disappoint. I then did my ring finger in OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and my middle finger in China Glaze I'm Not Lion. I stamped with Essie Good as Gold and then for something different I added  Celestial Cosmetics matte top coat (review coming soon) over the ring and middle fingers. I like how it changes textures and the look. It really is nice for a change and I like how the glitter looks with a matte top coat.

Hope you're having a nice weekend wherever you are, Tx.
