Laid Back Challenge - Stamping, butter London Fiver

Challenge number 14, I'm running a little behind, but better late than never. The 14th challenge is stamping, which I was kind of dreading.  I really have a love - hate relationship with stamping. Sometimes it works like a dream and at other times it doesn't matter what you do it just doesn't work. Luckily today was a good day :)

I used a base of butter London - Fiver from the Sweetie Shop Collection- be still my heart it is the most amazing icy mint green. I then stamped using gals fairy plate no 30 with China Glaze Passion. I love the final look, there's something so soft and feminine about it.

Laid Back Challenge day 13 - Deborah Lippmann Candy Shop

Today's Laid Back Challenge is the Cheer Yourself Up Mani. I chose to go with a crelly glitter as how can you not look at a creme finish with glitter and not smile :). Deborah Lippmann also had to be chosen as her polishes are a touch of luxury, an awesome formula and always with a pop of uniqueness.

Candy Shop is a fun polish! With a bubblegum pink base it contains a plethora of colours and hex and round glitter. It really applies beautifully and smoothly. Here I used OPI Sparrow Me the Drama as an undie and two coats of Candy Shop. With a good coat of HK girl top coat it was smooth and looks amazing.

Having a Candy Shop on your nails is sure to brighten your day :) My husband calls these creme glitters 100's and 1000's as the look like you've been let loose in the jar of sprinkles  I just love them and love that so many Indies are doing them now too.

Laidback challenge - Splatter with Lime Crime

I love how this splatter turned out. I followed a tutorial from Nails by Kayla Shevonne and just made my drag line a little thicker. It was fun and very easy to do. I wasn't looking forward to the mess a splatter can make when you use the straw technique so I was delighted to find this tutorial 

I used the whole Lime Crime range in this mani and I adore their colours and the ease of use of their polishes. The base is Lime Crime Milky Ways.

Laid back Challenge 10 - geometric

I love quite a few polishes from OPI's Euro collection. Here I am using my favourite three, My Vampire is Buff - cream, You're Such a Budapest - lilac and Can't Find my Czechbook - blue. This design is based on one by pshiit, but mine looks nowhere as good as hers. I love the colours but I'm not too sure about the design. It's geometric and it might grow on me :)

Laidback Challenge - Skittle

Skittle nails started off being nails of different and bright colours - drum roll like Skittles of course :). Now a skittle mani means that every fingernail is different. For this skittle look I based it on the ring finger polish which is Femme Fatale Cosmetic's A Tisket, A Tasket.

A Tisket, A Tasket has a semi sheer white base with glitters in shades of green, teal and coral pink. It;s very soft and girly.  I picked two glitter colours to use on my other nails.

For the green I chose Essie Navigate Her, I was a bit disappointed that it dried a deeper browny green than it looked in the bottle but it is still close to the glitter colour I was aiming for. The coral pink is one of my new favourite polishes, Essie Van D'Go. It's such a pretty colour and sits just on the border of being coral or pink. The lighter green stripes are Essie Absolutely Shore.

This was fun and I like it but I do wish Navigate Her was the brighter green it seemed in the bottle.

Zoya Greens - Laid back Challenge

Today's Laid back challenge is favourite colour family. Of course mine is green and I didn't realise how many green nail polishes I had until I went to search for the right polishes for this look. Oh well I adore green and every polish is different so therefore it needs to be in my life, right? :)

I decided to go with a gradient of colours using striping tape and a Color Club silver holo - Harp on it as a base. The green colours from darkest to lightest are:

Zoya - Holly

Zoya - Ivanka

Zoya - Apple

Zoya - Meg

I really like this look, well of course because it's green but the colours really compliment each other.

Laid back challenge - Purple

I love to share Australian Indies so I knew when purple was the challenge it had to be this one. This is Purple Addiction by Alanna Renee. It's a gorgeous mix of square, hex and a couple of bar glitters in a gorgeous purple base. My photos don't do it justice and it sparkles on your fingertips. I used just one coat over Opi - Purple with a Purpose. It applied beautifully with no dabbing for glitters. 

For AU $7.95 it's a great price as well.

Laidback Challenge - Pink

I adore this polish but this is a very not me look. I'm just not into pink, it could be as a red head I was never dressed in pink when I was little and I don't attempt to wear pink now. Nevertheless this is a stunning polish that was a blue enough pink for me to want to purchase :)

It's also one of my first Lynnderella's and it doesn't disappoint! It's jam pack full of gorgeous glitter. Here I have two coats of Orly Gorgeous underneath and two coats of Lynnderella - The Telltale heart. It took a couple of layers of top coat to lose the gritty feel. I added three clear heart rhinestones to the accent finger to keep in the Valentine spirit.

Laid back Challenge - gold

For this challenge I had to use the Selena Gomez, Nicole by Opi glitter polish Kissed at Midnight. I really love this glitter polish as it's so easy to work with and looks so stunning on. I'm in a laid back challenge so I can admit I didn't do every finger as I couldn't be bothered with the thought of removing it all :).

So I did a base coat of Zoya Jacqueline, I applied two coats of Kissed at Midnight to my accent fingers and used guides for the zig zag lines using China Glaze Passion. I love the overall look.

Kissed at Midnight has both gold and silver hexagonal glitter with tiny gold specks all in a clear base. I found this as I was looking for another option to Deborah Lippmann's Boom boom pow. I love BBP but as it's in a yellow base it changes the colour of some polishes when used as a top coat. Kissed at Midnight is the perfect alternative and the glitter pay off is wow!
