Classic Black Rose Decals by Born Pretty - review

These decals are easy to use and the end result is just gorgeous. They come on a sheet with both white and black rose designs, so you can chose the most appropriate colour for your manicure. They transfer with water, you just need to take off the plastic protective layer and cut out the design you want to use. You then place it face up in an open container of room temperature water. Leave for 10 seconds, wet the nail you want to place it on and slide the decal off the backing paper and place it on your nail. Press gently with paper towel to remove the excess water and you're done.

You can purchase these from here and browse the Born Pretty Store to see all the other nail art products they have to offer. You can use my code TQX31 to receive 10% off your purchase.

This product was sent to me for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Please note computer monitors may vary in colour display.

Aussie Nails Monday - Food

The theme for this week's Aussie Monday is food, I'm a day behind but better late than never. I tried to stay in my current Valentine's theme so cheated a little and used candy hearts. The base colour is Opi = Green Gargantuan Grape, an untried that left me with lobster hands :(. Why must all the greens I love so much leave me with red hands? The candy hearts are water decals, I wasn't overly impressed with the quality of them, the colours wore off in sections and they were much trickier than water decals should be to apply so I won't bother posting the link.

Still I think this is a cute look for Valentine's Day, Have a happy Tuesday!

Santa Baby, Holiday Challenge

Day two of 12 days of Christmas Nail Art Challenge and the theme is green.

I adore green so find it hard to decide which green to use, I then picked up Zoya Holly from my stash and thought it doesn't get more perfect than that.

I used two coats of Zoya Holly, one coat of Zoya anchor top coat, waited around 20 minutes and it still wasn't dry so used one coat of Seche Vite. I then did a glitter gradient with Debroah Lippmann Boom Boom Pow and popped my nail decals into a bowl of water. I hadn't used the decals before but they were very easy to use. After about 10 minutes soaking the image becomes slippery and you slide it off and  on to your finger. It stays slippery which makes it easier to place exactly where you want it. Once happy with position I held paper towel over it and quickly followed with a coat of Seche Vite. I do just love this Santa he has a gorgeous face :)
