Disney Challenge - Ariel

My attempt at Ariel, I know I'm behind and still need to do Belle but I decided to have a go at Ariel. It looks ok, shhhh but her bikini top maybe a little uneven lol.

So in case these look like an abstract I'll tell you

Index finger is meant to be Ariel's head, middle finger her torso, ring a mermaid tale and pinkie is flounder. How cute is Flounder in the movie? He was one of my favourites.

Saturday Disney Princess Challenge - Pocahontas

I'm a day late, our beautiful doggy was diagnosed with congestive heart failure yesterday :(. He's on tablets so hopefully they will help prolong his life, we just don't know by how much. So these nails have flaws, they were done with a migraine hangover and only a couple of hours sleep. BUT yay I still got them done :).

Pocahontas - index - colours of the wind, middle - Meeko-, ring - Pocahontas, pinkie Pocahontas arm band.

Disney Princess Challenge - Cinderella nails

It's Saturday already so time for another Disney Princess. I struggled with Cinderella and am a little embarrassed with my attempt of a carriage. There are too many assignments due and I'm just too tired to go back and change it.

Base blue which looks lilac under artificial lighting is Essie - Bikini so Teeny

So my Pointer finger is the clock

My Middle finger an attempt at a carriage

As always my ring is hair, with Cinderella's head band

and my pinkie is the scalloped bottom of petticoats.

Disney Princess Challenge - Sleeping Beauty

This week's challenge is Sleeping Beauty. Now once upon a time Sleeping Beauty was blue, but at some stage Disney decided to change her to pink. I think it was so there was a difference between her and Cinderella. From my childhood memories she wore blue with a black hair band but to fit modern day Sleeping Beauty I went with the pink.

The lighter pink is OPI Mod about You, the darker pink is OPI Sparrow me the Drama, the gold glitter is China Glaze I'm Not Lion, the past yellow is Face of Australia Easy Peasy, Lemon Squeezy and the gold China Glaze Passion. In some pictures her crown had red stones so I added one of those, I love a rhinestone :)

Disney Princess Challenge - Mulan

So this week is Mulan, as I really can't draw I couldn't do the cute little dragon :(. I'm still pleased with how they came out. The base is Zoya Marley, I then sponged Zoya Danni and another Zoya that I can't remember to give some background to the cherry blossoms. The branches are China Glaze Grape Pop. For Mulan's Bodice I used Nubar Tea Green, OPI Jade is the New Black, and Zoya Song.

I'm really enjoying doing this challenge and seeing what everyone else comes up with.

Disney Princess Challenge - Snow White Nails

Disney Princess Challenge - Snow White

Ugh this was one of those manis I should have walked away from. It looks ok in the end but I've had one of those days where nothing has gone right.

So my take on Snow White is my index and pinkie are her fabulous sleeve. I used Essie Avenue Maintain and red acrylic paint. I tried to draw those red pieces with nail polish too many times, acrylic paint was a breeze!
My middle finger of course is the apple using a random lemon and the apple is Zoya Kristi.
My ring was meant to be black with the red head band but every time I stamped with various red polishes it looked brown so we have Zoya Purity - white and konad red.

If my head wasn't hurting so much I'd attempt this again but meh lol!

Disney Princess Jasmine Nails

This was lots of fun!! It's a Disney Princess Jasmine mani. I didn't officially have to give up my greens depending on whether you see Zoya Wednesday and Essie Mint Candy Apple as green or blue :) I love Princess Jasmine, love her clothes and her style.

I tried to represent the top of her harem pants on my index and pinkie. I used Zoya Wednesday and Essie Mint Candy Apple, with China Glaze I'm Not Lion as a glitter accent.

My middle finger represents Jasmine's best friend the tiger Rajah. I used Essie - Fear or Desire and hand painted with black.

My ring finger is Jasmine's hair and headband. I used butter London Union Jack Black and China Glaze Passion.

I'm really happy with the over all look and am looking forward to doing more Disney Princesses.
