The Dance a collaboration with myself and Hayley from Emily de Molly for Wave of Polish Auctions

This is The Dance a collaboration with myself and Hayley from Emily de Molly for Wave of Polish Auctions. http://www.myminiauction.com/waveofpolish

This year my daughter should be in her last year of high school here in Tasmania and at the end of the school year is a huge event for the teens called their Leaver's Dinner, similar to what I imagine a prom would be. So it's kind of one of those years for me, where it's noticeable that a big event should be happening in her life but she'll never get to do it - we'll never get to do it. I should be arguing over dresses and their appropriateness, sharing the excitement of who she will go with and finding that dream vehicle for her to arrive in. I knew I wanted this years collaboration polish to reflect all of that and in some small way give me a chance to be involved and to share with others, just like what would be happening if we had her here. In a way Hayley and I did have some angst with the perfect 'dress', what I thought I wanted just didn't work and maybe as with all Mums was a bit too young. After driving Hayley crazy (thanks Hayley) out of the blue she came up with this polish and we both knew she 'had' it. The Dance has a a darkened magenta base filled with colour shifting shimmer that changes from pink to gold, what teen girl wouldn't want that on her fingers? There are 10 numbered bottles of this available and then that's it, it will never be made again.

Now the name has two meanings, The Dance as obviously Grace would be off to her first formal dance and The Dance by Garth Brooks is a song I can really relate to and listened to so often in the early years. It's so true I could have missed the pain of losing our precious daughter but to do so would mean I never would have had the joy of having her in our lives.

Thanks for making it this far (lyrics below)

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye?
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end, the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance
Holding you, I held everything
For a moment, wasn't I a king?
But if I'd only known how the king would fall
Hey, who's to say? You know I might have changed it all
And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end, the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance
I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance
Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain, but I'd have had to miss the dance
The dance

AN Monday - Glitter bomb

Just a short post today as this beauty was from an Emily de Molly sample sale. I love it, it's a lot like a green version of Emily de Molly's Turbulence. It is sample number 13 and if I could encourage you to buy it I would but it's a one off :(. However if you don't own Turbulence yet buy it as both are breath taking :)

Happy start of the week, Tx

Hi Everyone, sorry it's been quiet around here, I plan to do a post tomorrow to explain everything. For today I have one from my archives, it's a yet to be released and named Emily de Molly with a gold striping tape design. I was going to save it until Emily de Molly was close to re-opening after maternity leave but I wanted to share something with you as it's been so quiet.

Emily de Molly - Love Triangle

Good morning everyone! As you know I'm a huge Emily de Molly fan and am always so excited when there are new releases. This beauty - Love Triangle is a new one that was available just before Emily de Molly shut down for maternity leave. As with all Emily de Molly polishes the colour combinations are just spectacular. This has matte pastel glitter with matte white glitter. I have painted one coat over Sea Siren Tranquillity. I love glitters but bore from them quickly, this is definitely a glitter I didn't want to take off, it's so pretty, soft and feminine.

Have a lovely relaxing Saturday, Tx

Emily de Molly - Frail Promise

This is a gorgeous soft, feminine and subtle glitter from Emily de Molly. Named Frail promise it has a grey-nude leaning base with pops of colour in neon pink, black, white, gold and mint glitter with a gold shimmer. The formula was excellent and I am wearing two coats with one coat of top coat. I just love the softness and that it's a glitter polish that is so subtle and pretty.

Don't forget my month of giveaways, links under the photos.

Emily de Molly LE9

This gorgeous polish is limited edition 9 from Emily de Molly. It sits right on the edge of being blue/green and is just a touch greener than my photos show. It has a gorgeous subtle holo that adds a wow feature to the polish. The formula is excellent and I had no problems with application. I am wearing two coats in these photos.

This polish is one of the two polishes in this week's Emily de Molly giveaway.

AN Monday - theme - Animal Print

An Monday's theme this week is animal print. I had big ideas of doing a snake skin but I couldn't get the stamp to line up correctly, so I chose to use peacock feathers.. The base colour is I'm Living Alone by Powder Perfect Polish. I stamped with Emily de Molly plate EDM04 using China Glaze Cherish. The blue dots are Femme Fatale Cosmetics Enchantress. on my ring finger I used one light coat of Bella Belle Tinsel. I love peacock feathers and EDM04 gives you many options of creating a peacock nail design.

Have a great week, Tx

Emily de Molly - Folklore

Wow this polish is just stunning! It is the most gorgeous turquoise the absolute perfect blend of blue and green that makes it the perfect turquoise. Packed full of holographic glitter in a turquoise jelly base it was impossible to capture just how sparkly the polish is, it's fabulous with sparkles in and out of light. I'm totally in love and really don't want to have to change my polish. Buy it, you really need to have this one in your collection!!

Emily de Molly gradient with Rhodium

I have a trio of gorgeous Emily de Molly polishes for you today. I started with a base of holo silver named Inevitable, I then added a gradient with the deep grey holo Ricochet. To finish it off I  topped it with the gorgeous Rhodium glitter topper. I didn't mean to have the holo square in the same place on three nails and didn't even notice that I had until I took photos. This look as you can imagine was so sparkly in the sun. All three are gorgeous polishes on their own but I also love the combined look just for something different :).

Well the weekend has come and gone, let's hope the next one is here before we know it, Tx.

Emily de Molly Remnants Returns

Yay a new Emily de Molly, you know how much I love this brand and there is nothing quite as exciting as getting my hands on the new releases. Today I have a beauty to share with you. Remnant Returns is a new glitter topper from Emily de Molly. I love that it doesn't only include all the colours it also has many different shapes of glitter. Again making sure I had the bottle upside down for awhile before use I didn't have any problems with picking up glitter on the brush. If I applied it again I wouldn't apply as much glitter but for the first time using it I wanted to make sure all the glitters were on my nails. It took a few coats of topcoat to make it smooth but with all the shapes of glitter it is not surprising :).

Have a wonderful weekend, Tx.

Emily de Molly - Absent Minded

Today I have a new divine polish by Emily de Molly. It simply is to die for! With a gorgeous purple jelly based this polish has just the right amount of glitter. There is Iridescent glitter that flashes from blue to green, as well as copper, blue and red glitters. The copper in this polish really makes it and adds a fabulous pop to the polish. I am wearing two coats with top and the application was flawless as it is with every Emily de Molly polish.

Emily de Molly is available in Australia here and excitingly for my International followers you can buy all the latest and older polishes from Femme Fatale Cosmetic. Consider a group buy to share the postage costs and everyone can have the newest polishes shortly after they're released.

Emily de Molly - Living After Midnight

I love my Emily de Mollys and this one is no exception. In a gorgeous deep red - burgundy this polish has all the awesomness that you expect from an Emily de Molly holo. I adore the colour! I am wearing three thin coats and no top coat. I couldn't stop staring at my nails all day! Unfortunately as it's been so hot it's hard to do a lot of nail art. Stamping dries before you even get it near the nail. I hope it cools soon, as I have some gorgeous new stamping plates to share.

Enjoy your day, Tx
