a England Galahad and the moonbeams..

I'm so in love with a England and so pleased that this amazing brand is now so readily available in Australia. I may have been buying up a little lot :). Today I have the super amazing Galahad, a gorgeous creme finish in a soft dusty teal. It applied like a dream and is just the prettiest colour. I own quite a few teals but the soft dusty leanings of this colour make it unique to my collection. I used and the moonbeams... on my pinkie and I love it :). It's nice to have the pinkie as an accent nail for a change. It took 4 light coats to reach opaqueness. I then stamped my ring finger using a pueen plate and China Glaze Passion. I loved this look but luckily there were more a Englands waiting in my untried pile that I wasn't too sad to take it off. It's definitely going to be having a lot of use in the future. If you haven't tried a England you really should, the formula on every polish I've tried so far is just perfect!

So I haven't totally lost my mind, though I'm feeling so tired it's a possibility. For some reason blogger didn't publish my full post yesterday so it read ridiculously. I'll go back and fix it now, grrr at blogger. Have a fab Thursday, for some crazy reason Thursday is my favourite weekday, I think it's mainly because tomorrow is Friday so the promise of the weekend starts looming today :). Take care, Tx

Leopard Print Skittlete

I'm not a huge animal print fan but wanted to try my hand at Leopard nail art. I was surprised at how easy it is and while mine are still far from perfect they look still pretty good. I needed to do more C shapes instead of lines but I've learnt for next time :).

The gold glitter is China Glaze I'm Not Lion, if you don't own this, you should, it's a great versatile polish. The black on my middle finger is Orly Liquid Vinyl and the pink is Zoya Yana. I haven't turned into a pink girl, this pink has a lot of orange in it and when it's just one nail pink is ok :)

Wishing you an awesome Tuesday, Tx

AN Monday - Musc Theme - Fields of Gold Nails

For the music theme this week I had to use my all time favourite song Fields of Gold.

This song, it speaks to me and I adore Stings voice.

I love to interpret songs and read others interpretations.

To me this song is about courting, love and being together for ever. Written by a man for his lover, the song starts as a courtship, inviting his lover to him. It moves on to their union and in time shows he is not perfect and has broken promises but in the time they have left together he will do his all to make the best ever. As time passes and they have children, he remembers those early days and at the end he tells her she will remember those wonderful early days when he is gone. The sun in it's jealous sky speaks to me that their love is so deep that even the brightest burning star could be envious of them.

This song for me always brings a motion picture to my mind and I can "see" where the song is taking me. It is so emotive, so romantic and purely Sting at his best.

Swoon, so romantic!!

So the nails which seem boring in comparison are Zoya Jacqueline for the middle two and China Glaze I'm not Lion for the index and pinkie. I stamped with China Glaze Passion and it's a Bundle Monster plate but I don't remember the number - whoops.

Monday again - le sigh, hope your week ahead is fabulous and quick!! Tx

You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we walk in the fields of gold

So she took her love
For to gaze awhile
Upon the fields of barley
In his arms she fell as her hair came down
Among the fields of gold

Will you stay with me, will you be my love
Among the fields of barley
We'll forget the sun in his jealous sky
As we lie in the fields of gold

See the west wind move like a lover so
Upon the fields of barley
Feel her body rise when you kiss her mouth
Among the fields of gold

I never made promises lightly
And there have been some that I've broken
But I swear in the days still left
We'll walk in the fields of gold
We'll walk in the fields of gold

Many years have passed since those summer days
Among the fields of barley
See the children run as the sun goes down
Among the fields of gold

You'll remember me when the west wind moves
Upon the fields of barley
You can tell the sun in his jealous sky
When we walked in the fields of gold
When we walked in the fields of gold
When we walked in the fields of gold

Holo Nail Art - EmilydeMolly Seeing Red and High Distinction

I couldn't wait to see how adding art to the holo would work and it worked great! I used EmilydeMolly's gold holo - High Distinction and it covered beautifully in one thin coat.

a England She Walks With Beauty and Rainbow Honey Whimsical

Sorry I've been sick and slack on posting and I've missed a challenge day. I also didn't get around to taking photos of the bottles of these ones which I really wanted to as Rainbow Honey Whimsical is just gorgeous. It is a metallic gold green with tiny pink shimmery pieces, that have been lost with She Walks With Beauty.

She Walks With Beauty deserves a bottle shot too, so girly, soft and feminine. I do love this look and it's a very 'me' mani, something I could wear for a long time.

2 coats of Whimsical - a little on the thick side and did show brush strokes so I will add thinner next time. I can easily forgive it as it is just so so pretty.

1 coat - She walks with Beauty - just gorgeous, applied perfectly with no glitter placement needed at all.

Enjoy and check back for bottle shots :)

Laid back Challenge - gold

For this challenge I had to use the Selena Gomez, Nicole by Opi glitter polish Kissed at Midnight. I really love this glitter polish as it's so easy to work with and looks so stunning on. I'm in a laid back challenge so I can admit I didn't do every finger as I couldn't be bothered with the thought of removing it all :).

So I did a base coat of Zoya Jacqueline, I applied two coats of Kissed at Midnight to my accent fingers and used guides for the zig zag lines using China Glaze Passion. I love the overall look.

Kissed at Midnight has both gold and silver hexagonal glitter with tiny gold specks all in a clear base. I found this as I was looking for another option to Deborah Lippmann's Boom boom pow. I love BBP but as it's in a yellow base it changes the colour of some polishes when used as a top coat. Kissed at Midnight is the perfect alternative and the glitter pay off is wow!

Have a fabulous Sunday and happy birthday to world's best son xx
