Celestial Cosmetics - Sons of Anarchy - Harley DYNA and Charming

Two more amazing SOA polishes to share with you. The first is in my favourites, it's so understated but packs a punch at the same time. The glitters really pop in this polish making it a stand out. Nicki describes the polish as "The motorbike of choice for the sons, usually in black.  I would love more bling, so I represent this mean machine with a black base filled with a multitude of holo micro glitter in various colours". It was a breeze to apply in three thin coats. I didn't want to take this one off as it made me keep staring at my nails. I just love the black against the many glitters <3

The second is Charming. It's green so of course I'm going to love it :) It is just the right colour and the right balance of glitter and colour combinations that make it a winner. Nicki describes the meaning behind the polish "Represented by a bright green jelly packed full of different glitters.  Turquoise hex, blue and caymen blue squares with melon green dots". There was a little fishing for glitters but again Nicki takes all feed back on board and there will be no problems when buying it now.  I think it's perfect to represent Charming.I have layered it over Don't mess with OPI, but it doesn't really need it as I did my thumb with no base colour and it looked the same.

Celestial Cosmetics are proud of the fact that all our Nail Polish is 3 Free (Toluene, Formaldehyde and DBP Free) and lovingly hand mixed.
Visit their facebook page or browse and purchase from the current collection at the Celestial Cosmetics website. I will have more polishes from the SOA Collection to share with you in the next week. There is a pre-release tonight and the collection will be available on the weekend.

EmilydeMolly Muted Madness

I'm going through my untrieds at the moment and came across this gem that I haven't worn yet. It really is understated brilliance and adds a nice pop on the nails. It applied gorgeously over one coat of plain black. It is a black jelly with matte glitters in purple, blue, yellow, green and red and tiny silver holo glitter. The jelly allows the glitters to build a nice depth and the colour of the glitters makes a black polish look fun and so pretty. I'm not sure ow why I've left it untried so long! In photos below I applied a matte top coat and I really like how it looks just for something different.

The weekend is flying past, hope you enjoy your Sunday, Tx

Lilypad Lacquer - Rainbows in Space

I'm a sucker for a holo! I adore them and Lilypad Lacquers are the master at making super holos in a huge range of colours. This one is black and bestill my heart it is AMAZING!! All of Lilypad holos apply perfectly and I'm even wearing a top coat with this one and the holo power still shines through. Just to be different this time I did some stamping, firstly mainly black creme with holo design and then inverted. I love how both turned out :). I used 3 coats of Rainbows in Space - mainly because I like to use 3 thin layers.

Yay it's Friday! Have an amazing weekend, Tx

Spooky and Sparkly

The gorgeous Kierra at Look What the Bats Dragged in had a birthday yesterday, as we live across Australia she threw a blog party where we could do our nails in her chosen theme and join her in celebrating :).  Her theme was spooky and sparkly, not something I usually do so it was fun! I used butter London Union Jack Black Jack as a base, added the wonderful Alanna Renee's Dementor on a diagonal. Then I put those pesky fiddly little diamantes across, abat stamp on the accent finger and I love the whole look!

Hope you had a fabulous day Kierra!!

EmilydeMolly - Insomnia

Let me start by saying I hate my shorter nails! As well as how quick I have to be in doing my nails due to the very cute but demanding puppy leads to what I see as my nails are just not painted as nicely nor do they pose as well for photos as before. This EmilydeMolly polish is now being discontinued so if you can imagine it being at least 10 times more beautiful than my pictures show you need to hurry and grab a bottle!

This is 3 coats of Insomnia. It has a gorgeous black jelly base with small and large white matte glitter hexes and  gorgeous little holographic pieces throughout that catch the light and make your fingertips sparkle.

Hopefully you've seen the giveaway has been drawn, congratulations to the winners!

Have a fabulous weekend!

EmilydeMolly - Black Forest

I'm a huge EmilydeMolly fan and while this polish has been around a little while it's new to me and I just love it! The black jelly base allows the gorgeous emerald hex glitter to shine through all the layers and gives it amazing depth. This is three coats (because I can never have too many green glitters) over a black base. You don't really need a base colour but I like to with Indies so I'm not wasting too much of the polish in building up opacity.

Oh be still my heart I simply adore this polish!!

Have a great Saturday!

Study Nails - featuring Alanna Rae - Dementor

So as a procrastination brilliant idea I decided to nails that match what is consuming a large part of my time - study. Since I'm surrounded in black and white print I went for a monochrome look to match. Can I say I am in love with Alanna Rae's whole Harry Potter collection but the one I'm wearing here is gorgeous. On my index and my pinkie is Dementor. This whole collection is so well thought out and is exactly what a die hard Harry Potter fan like myself would expect in every polish. The names and the polishes match perfectly and I hope to show you more in the coming weeks.

So back to this look my middle finger is Zoya Dove and Zoya Purity on the ring for the chevron. I love how it looks. Now if only I could put the same enthusiasm into study...

Hope you're having a great weekend :)

Loony Lacquer - Lady Bug

Today I have the 2nd polish from the Loony Lacquer Hidden Garden Collection, set to release on April 1st.

I'm so in love with one! Lady Bug had a black jelly base and is full of small and large red hex glitter and smaller red glitter. Here I am wearing two coats over butter London Union Jack Black. It is opaque in 3 coats on its own but I'm in love with the darker vampy look right now so chose a dark base. The photo above and below are taken outside so you can see how the red glitter pops. It truly is just gorgeous!

It applied beautifully with average dry time. I didn't have to fish or place glitter as it is so packed with glitter, but not so that it is too much, it's just right. The jelly allows for a gorgeous layered look which adds depth to the polish.

I think this collection is just gorgeous and so aptly named. As I mentioned previously this polish will be available from April 1st for $9 AUD at Loony Lacquer on etsy

Below is inside, see how dark and vampy it can look? <3

Above is outside with the glitter popping, I blurred the photo a little to show how much the red stands out, it is stunning!

Aussie Nails Monday - Black and White

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend! I have a very naughty puppy/ old dog who think he's a puppy that didn't think sleep in's were a good idea today :(

Aussie Nail Monday's theme this week is black and white. There is no doubt about it black and white always look so elegant on nails. I thought I took the easy option and opted to stamp them, but stamping is still not my friend and it turned into a HUGE job. Still I'm happy with the end result.

The black polish is Orly Liquid Vinyl and the white Zoya Purity, I stamped with Konad polishes and the stamp is Bundle Monster 314.

I hve another black and white challenge coming up later in the week, so will have to put my thinking cap back on.

Enjoy the public holiday and hope you all got a  sleep in :)
