AIPAS theme skittle

For this week's theme at AIPAS I got to do a skittle, a little exciting as I haven't done one in a long time and you know I love my skittles. For anyone who doesn't know a skittle nail design means that every nail is different from any other. It can be different colours, patterns, whatever you want it to be.

For this design I used Powder Perfect Polish in Raspberry Whorl for the hot pink. The light pink is Alanna Renee It's a Girl. The gold glitter is Pretty Serious Dimension X and the gold is Esie Good as Gold. The flowers were made with a dotting tool.

We've hit hump day here in Australia and I can almost see the weekend from here, Tx :)

Teddy Mani for Wave of Polish Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness

Today's Mani is based on a tutorial from http://polishpedia.com/teddy-bear-nail-art.html

I had to try the cute Teddy and while mine isn't as cute I like him. Unfortunately my camera ran out of batteries so I only got one good picture. The pastel blue I used is Cate Ruby's Sky and the oink is Alanna Renee's It's a Girl. I love the cuteness factor on this look :).

Wave of Polish - Pregnancy and Infant Loss skittle

Today I'm excited to be wearing my first Pregnancy and Infant Loss mani. I've been overwhelmed at the resonse both to the Wave of Polish and the auctions. If you haven't yet please join us at https://www.facebook.com/groups/waveofpolish/ and visit the auctions for all the details http://waveofpolish.blogspot.com.au/.

In this look I've used the amazing Alanna Renee It's a Boy blue shimmer, It's a Girl pink shimmer and Sugar & Spice & All Things Nice pink glitter. I used striping tape to create the stripes. A dotting tool to do the flowers and the dots. Now you know I'm not a pink girl so this month will be challenging but I do like how this turned out. Please follow the links below to see more Pregnancy and Infant Loss manis.

AN Monday - Magical theme - Hedwig

Alanna Renee has my favourite collection ever, the Magical World collection. I've shared a few here already, this one is one my favourites. The collection is based on Harry Potter, and that could've been a big risk, especially for die hards fans like me. Alanna Renee however captured the very essence of the name of each polish in its formula. This one is named Hedwig, could you have ever pictured a more apt depiction of Hedwig in a polish? It is simply perfect, fits Hedwig perfectly and is so easy to apply. When the Magical theme come up I just knew I had to try my hand at Hedwig. I love Hedwig and was devastated with his ending. He was just the perfect first companion for Harry and really his very first friend. So he looked a bit better in my head but I still adore this whole look. Just perfectly - Harry Potter!

I don't know how Mondays roll around again so quickly :(, let's hope the weekend comes just as quick. Have a fabulous week, Tx.

Earthquake Nails - Alanna Renee Stupefy and Avada Kedavra

I wanted to try Earthquake nails, but I'm not overly happy with how they turned out. I do adore the polishes I used though, they are Alanna Renee's creation from her fabulous Magical World Collection. Stupefy is a gorgeous deep candy pink with white glitter and Avada Kedavra is a stunning lime green with white glitter. Both are amazing and a dream to apply. I actually adore the whole collection, every polish is beautiful and perfectly matches it's name. The earthquake look or at least the way I did it is just messy and the OCD in me can't stand it :)

Ahh it's Sunday, I love Sundays, Tx

Spooky and Sparkly

The gorgeous Kierra at Look What the Bats Dragged in had a birthday yesterday, as we live across Australia she threw a blog party where we could do our nails in her chosen theme and join her in celebrating :).  Her theme was spooky and sparkly, not something I usually do so it was fun! I used butter London Union Jack Black Jack as a base, added the wonderful Alanna Renee's Dementor on a diagonal. Then I put those pesky fiddly little diamantes across, abat stamp on the accent finger and I love the whole look!

Hope you had a fabulous day Kierra!!

Aussie Nails Monday - green

I had to come back and do the Aussie Nails Monday challenge as it's green!! I don't think I have the patience yet for nail art so I used the amazing Drink of Despair by Alanna Renee. Unfortunately my photos didn't pick up on just how gorgeous this colour is but the blurry one 2 down gives a much better idea of the colour in the sun. It truly is gorgeous and was a dream to apply. Drink of despair is from the Alanna Renee Magical World collection which is one my favourite collections of all time.

So have a look at them all here.
