Mint Green and Pink Valentine's Day nail design

If you've been around awhile you know my favourite colour is mint green, and that even though I love the colour it always gives me lobster hands :(. Sometimes I just think too bad and this was one of those occasions. I also love mint green and pink together, a marriage made in heaven. The divine mint green in this look is Miss Ashleigh's A Pastel Exper-mint. The pink is OPI Sparrow Me the Drama. My ring finger has a custom polish that Peita's Polish made for me as is the gorgeous mint green glitter.

Hope you're having a fabulous week, Tx.

AIPAS theme skittle

For this week's theme at AIPAS I got to do a skittle, a little exciting as I haven't done one in a long time and you know I love my skittles. For anyone who doesn't know a skittle nail design means that every nail is different from any other. It can be different colours, patterns, whatever you want it to be.

For this design I used Powder Perfect Polish in Raspberry Whorl for the hot pink. The light pink is Alanna Renee It's a Girl. The gold glitter is Pretty Serious Dimension X and the gold is Esie Good as Gold. The flowers were made with a dotting tool.

We've hit hump day here in Australia and I can almost see the weekend from here, Tx :)

Illamasqua - Destiny

Wow, wow, wow I love this polish! Available as an exclusive edition from Myer to celebrate Chinese New Year. The Myer site describes this polish ;

According to Chinese Astrology, 2014 is the year of the Wooden Horse. Inspired by the new life that leaves bring to a bare wooden bark in the spring, we have captured a fresh green leaf in our latest shade, Destiny. To mirror the imperfect, unpredictable nature of a leafy tree, Destiny fuses fine and hexagonal gold glitter particles in a glitter finish formula. A bottle green wash punctuated with golden lime accents, not unlike the multi-tonal spectrum of a tree within the spring bloom.

It is all of that and more. Super simple to apply and the squishy goodness of the jelly is exquisite.

Neon Half Moons

Summer is still very much here and nothing speaks of summer more than neon. I love how they contrast against the black. The neons I used are index Miss Ashleigh And It Was All Yellow, my middle finger is China Glaze I'm With the Lifeguard, ring is China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy and my pinkie is Towel Boy Toy.

I used reinforcement labels as shown below to make the moon shape, Make sure your base colour is completely dry, then first put the labels in the back of your hand to make it a little less sticky. Then apply to your nail and press all edges down to stop the polish bleeding. Paint, count to ten and remove the sticker. Then all you need to do is one coat of topcoat and you're done :)

AN Monday theme - Bling!

This week's theme was fun as it's not something I'd usually try to do. I used Cult Nails Tempest for the white base. I then dabbed one coat of OPI Crown Me Already in a curved shape, I then dabbed a thin coat of a England Merlin over the same area. I then did a layer of topcoat and added the rhinestones and caviar beads. It's impossible to get them all on before the topcoat dries so I just used small dabs of topcoat where I wanted the next rhinestone to be. I like the end result but think it could be really pretty in a much simpler version, I'm adding it to my must try list.

It's Monday already :(, hope your weekend was fab, Tx.

Cate Ruby Raspberry Sorbet Valentine's nail art

This polish is just incredible, it is a raspberry red with a leaning towards pink. I just love the colour and it's completely unique to anything else in my collection. Raspberry Sorbet is a rich creme polish that applies easily. I've done another simple Valentine's Day design. Just white dots, stripes and a heart on my ring finger made using a template sticker.

Hope your weekend is going well, Tx.

Pink and Gold Valentine Nail Design

Another Valentine look, this time with pink and gold. The gorgeous gold glitter is Dimension X a texture polish by Pretty Serious. This one also looks fab with top coat which I love as I can't wear texture polishes overnight. I must rub my eyes in my sleep as if I wear a texture polish to bed I wake up with red gritty feeling eyes lol. The pink is butter London Fruit Machine. I stamped with Essie Good as Gold and stamping plate Bunny Nails HD-A.

Yay for Saturday! I love the weekend, Tx
