Chanel Azure

I voted this my number one mainstream polish and I hadn't even had time to blog about it. I ummed and aahed so long over this polish, I don't want to become a Chanel fan, it's just not in my budget but in the end I decided I could buy it as a Christmas gift for myself (have to love an addict's logic). I am so pleased I did and this polish is everything I thought it would be and so much more. The duochrome is strong and the shift from blue to green is gorgeous and reminds me of the ocean. As with my one other Chanel Taboo this polish basically applies itself, it has a fantastic formula and is hard wearing. If you can afford to treat yourself this polish is worth every cent :)

I can see the weekend from here!! Tx.

Arcane Lacquer - Infinity Skittlette

I picked up some gorgeous polishes from Arcane Lacquer's post Christmas sale. Today I have Infinity to show you, it's a fabulous cobalt blue micro glitter. In a matching jelly base it was simple to apply and I am wearing three thin coats on my index and itty bitty pinkie nails. I love this polish, you already know I'm a huge micro glitter fan, so that added with the depth of colour and how Infinity sparkles like crazy has made me a huge fan of this polish. I know a full swatch would have been great but I like to mix it up too much and had to add something different. My middle finger is my absolute favourite silver glitter combo, I use one coat of Zoya Trixie and two thin coats of a England Merlin. Merlin is just an amazing glitter that sparkles intensely and always has me looking at my fingers. My ring finger is Zoya Tallulah, a gorgeous cobalt blue. I know my nails aren't nubs to many of you and I'm not complaining too much but please pinkie grow some more and catch up to the others :). I need a little more length in them all to pose them how I like too, but am hoping to stay a little shorter than normal this time around. In an ideal world I'd love to give almond shape a try but think they would break too often on me :(.

Hope you're having a great week, Tx.

Aussie Nails Monday - Polka Dots

Unfortunately I've had to trim back my nails as by part way through December I had splits start appearing for no reason. I got to Christmas with the help of silk wraps, then I had to trim them back to start again. I know they are longer nubs than a lot of people but I really like some length in mine. At least they grow quickly and hopefuly this time, they will be a little healthier.

Now today's look is from AN Monday theme of polka dots (I'm a day late but better late than never). The purple is Zoya Malia, with Zoya Snow White, Raven and Trixie for the accent colours. I like a good polka dot mani as they are easy and look fab.

Have a happy Tuesday, Tx

Black Glitter Gradient

Here's a mani I wore to a recent wedding. It's hard to know what you want to wear to events but a glitter gradient always goes done well. I used Zoya Raven for the black and the glitter gradient is Nicole by OPI Kissed at Midnight. The glitter is the perfect mix of silver and gold glitter. It's a fun easy look that looks fabulous and I received many compliments.

Have a fabulous week, T x.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics - Dreamer's Potion

You know how much I love these soft feminine glitter toppers. They are girly, which I'm usually not but I just love the softness and romance of the colours. Dreamer's Potion is a dream and is full of gorgeous dots, moons, stars and diamond glitter in gorgeous shades of pink, lavender and silver. I am wearing one dabbed coat over a base colour of Zoya Marley. Sigh I just love this polish!!

My top nail designs of 2013 as picked by you

For this list I used my Instagram stats on which photos have been liked the most. I'm doing this one in reverse and number 1 is first.

No. 1 - Blue Christmas

No.2 - Baubles

3. Glitter Christmas tree

No.4 Frosty the Snowman

No. 5 Winter Wonderland

No.6 Zoya dotticure

No.7 Hollish Nails Murder on the Dancefloor

No. 8 piCture pOlish dotticure

No. 9 - Infant loss mani

No. 10 - Christmas Wrapping paper

Top 10 Mainstream polishes 2013

This list was a lot easier than the  Australian Indie top 10. Again this is of polishes I purchased, and my favourites out of those purchases. Mainstream polish seems a little repetitive lately, and apart from Zoya's Holiday Collection no other collection completely grabbed me this year. That doesn't mean I didn't love any, there were some that I adore. Unfortunately I don't have individual swatches of all the polishes so there are nail art photos included.  Onto my top 10

10. Zoya Payton
A gorgeous deep plum with scattered holo, what's not to love?

9. butter London Poole
Of course I have greens, this one Poole by butter London made my list as while there are similar colours out there the shade and application of this polish is amazing. It's deeper than a mint green but falls between green and blue perfectly.

No. 8. butter London - Squatter

You've seen me use this one a lot in Christmas designs, it's a fabulous bright and rich green creme. I love how it's lime green, bright but doesn't fall into that yellow green colour that a lot of lime greens do.

No. 7 OPI My Vampire is Buff

This makes my top ten as the ivory colour makes it so versatile and I've used it a lot in different nail designs. It's not the only polish in this shade on the market but My Vampire is Buff applies the best out of all of them. It deserves it's place in the top 10 as I use it so often and it's perfect light neutral polish.

 No. 6 - Zoya Dream

This polish is just a dream! In a rich and regal royal blue it is so gorgeous on the nail. The scattered holo adds that little bit extra and the result is one amazing polish.

No.5 Zoya Imperial Russia

This is the first in a trio released by Zang Toi, the colours have all now been re-released with new names but I'm using the name on my bottles. Imperial Russia is the perfect jewel toned purple polish.

No.4 Zoya Peterhof Palace

Again this polish is just the perfect jewel shade of sapphire blue, I adore it.

No3. Zoya Chinoiserie Fantasy

The absolute most perfect emerald green polish I've come across. I simply adore this shade.

 No2. Chanel Taboo

It took me a little longer than others to jump on the Chanel Taboo bandwagon but I am so pleased I did! This polish is so easy to use it just about paints itself. The colour is amazing!

and drumroll

My No. 1 mainstream polish is Chanel Azure

I only received this for Christmas but I never want to take it off. It's an amazing duochrome and the colour change is very obvious. It turns from blue to green and reminds me of the ocean. Simply amazing!!!
