Santa and his Sleigh Nails

I've loved this design on the Moyou plate for ages but wasn't sure how I'd go just using part of the collage plate as I'd never tried before. By just applying polish to the design you want and using the small end of the stamper it was really easy. The background polish is beautiful but a one off I made for special friends this Christmas. The stars are from the same Moyou plate using the same technique and the dits are just with a dotting tool.  I sponged some white on my nails and lightly dabbed an iridescendant  glitter over it to make it glistening snow.

I love the look and loved wearing it :)

Merry Christmas Eve, Tx

Grace-full Nail Polish O Holy Night and The White Rider

For today's look I combined two of my polishes, the black jelly is O Holy night and on my ring finger is The White Rider. I love them together and added a stamp of a fairy from Moyou Fairytale collection plate 01.

Zoya Ibiza

We've had a few rainy days so it felt appropriate to pull out a gorgeous dark blue polish to wear. This polish is Zoya Ibiza and it's the bomb! I think that Zoya Ibiza is to blue what Chanel Taboo is to purple, it's the best, most stunning dark blue polish I've seen yet. I teamed it up with silver and a England's Merlin on my ring finger and stamped with a new Emily de Molly plate no 9 on my middle finger. I love it! The blue is so rich and has such colour depth it is swoon worthy :)

Have a fabulous Wednesday, Tx

Turquoise skittlette

When this glitter arrived I had to make a polish with it straight away as it is so gorgeous! I just love the colour and teamed it with a creme I'd already made. I stamped a moyou plate and for the first time used a Mundo De Unas polish and I was amazed at just how well it worked. It's the best polish I've used to stamp with. It does have a strong smell but if you can get over that it's brilliant. This stamping polish is number 24.

It's been a crazy week here and I am beyond delighted to say the Doctors got it wrong and my Mum doesn't have cancer. There is something wrong with her spine but it isn't cancer. I know this makes us one of the very very lucky people and my heart goes out to everyone dealing with this horrendous diagnosis.

Have a fabulous weekend, Tx.

Periwinkle blue and lace nail design

I've started playing around making myself polish, it's super fun and I love the colour of this creme I made. It really is a stunning periwinkle or a light blurple. I teamed it up with gold with China Glaze I'm Not Lion on my ring finger. I used Messy Mansion lace plate for the stamp and I love the end result.

Hope you're week is going well, Tx

International Nail Art Day

I couldn't miss doing a couple of designs for International Nail Art day. This first ones has my two favourite nail art techniques dots and stripes. I just love them. I used Rimmel Lose Your Lingerie as a base for the stripes and did stripes in Zoya Dove, OPI Sparrow Me the Drama, OPI Mod About You and Kester Black French White. The base of the dots is Zoya Dove. I don't do many pink designs but I like the colour combination in this one :)

I've been wanting to try this for ages so I decided Nail Art day was a good times to do it. The pretty soft purple is OPI You're Such a Budapest and the mint green is Rimmel Breakfast in bed. I applied both as base colours then used tape to make the V shape and used alternate colours for the space. Then I stamped with Konad black and a Moyou plate and finished the look by painting the silver line using Zoya Trixie.

There have been some great looks posted on Instagram, follow the tag #inads2014 to see them :)

Powder Perfect Isabelle

Hi! Hope you're enjoying the weekend. I'm getting tired staying up watching the Commonwealth games. I love watching swimming like most Aussies but the finals are in the middle of the night! It's worth it though :) Today  I have the gorgeous Isabelle from Powder Perfect to share with you. It's a gorgeous red full of red glitter and gold flakies all in a squishy looking jelly base. I added a gold stamped accent nail to bring out the gold in the polish. It's brought an oriental feel to the design that I quite like. Ahh red nail polish, there's just something about it that looks and feels so right, even if it is a cliché nowadays.

Stay Safe, Tx

Black and red lace nail design

Good morning/evening wherever you may be :). Puppy is all better and my other dog is becoming more friendly with him which is just fabulous. I adore both my dogs and life with dogs is just beautiful. Right onto nails I'm back with more lace as I am just in love with how lace looks on my nails. I used Messy Mansion plate 42 again with Konad black as a stamping polish. The black on my index and pinkie is Zoya Rave, the off white on my middle finger is OPI My Vampire is Buff and the red on my ring finger is butter London Pillar Box Red. I need to practice lining up my stamping as the lace on my ring isn't exactly centre, it's so hard though so if anyone has some tips please leave them in the comments. I still love the overall look and black and red always looks great.

Hope you have a wonderful Thursday, Tx.

Egyptian Messy Mansion Stamping Plate MM32 review

Hello everyone. Today I have two designs using the Messy Mansion Egyptian themed stamping plate MM32. The first one I couldn't go past using black and gold. All of the images stamped cleanly and were etched out beautifully. The black and gold Egyptian patterns looked stunning and I really enjoyed wearing this mani :).

For the second design I tried my hand at lead lighting a technique made possible by Messy mansion where you create a stain glass effect by filling in the stamping lines with jelly polishes. I don't have any lead light polishes yet so I used OPI sheer tints and Zoya High Gloss sheers. The OPIs were really horrible to work with in this technique. They became very stringy and just didn't want to play. The Zoyas were better but with just 3 colours it limits what you can do so I will be buying some lead light polishes soon. I don't love or hate this design , the stamped images are great, my colouring in is not so flash. I think it's not too bad for a first try and I do love the idea of the lead light technique so will keep practising :).

There are still so many more options on this plate that I didn't use.

Lace Stocking Nail Design

Hello, it's a gloomy Sunday morning here but I don't mind too much, it looks like one of those days to curl up with my book and favourite throw rug. I love today's design and it seems like I've been hunting forever to fins the perfect stamping plate. Lucky for me Messy Mansion released one not long ago and I'm in love. I just love lace designs!! I made my own sheer black polish by using a spare bottle of clear nail polish and adding about 30 drops of black nail polish to it. It probably needs to be a little deeper so I'll add some more drops before I use it again. I used this polish on my middle and ring fingers before stamping with Konad black and MM44 plate. I used Zoya Chantal on my index and pinky with another lace design from MM44. I love the finished look and can't wait to play with other colours.

I hope you enjoy your Sunday, Tx.

Lily Anna Stamping Plate 09 review

I was so lucky to be asked to review this gorgeous stamping plate. I love all the designs and the plate is so easy to use, I am able to pick up clear images every time. I couldn't just do one design to show you so I've done three :). Enjoy!!

OPI Russian Navy base, stamped with Essie No Place Like Chrome

China Glaze For Audrey base and stamped with China Glaze Adore.

Chanel Taboo on my index and pinkie, Bella Belle Golden Helm on my middle finger and a white base stamped with Essie Good as Gold.

I really love the designs on this plate, it's fantastic mix. I also love that they are a great size and will fit most nails. You can pick up this plate and many other stamping plates and accessories at the Messy Mansion website and keep up with the latest news on their Facebook page.

Pirate Map design with Messy Mansion Plate 37

Today's design is an old burnt look pirate map. I have OPI My Vampire is Buff as the base colour. I then stamped Messy Mansion's pirate theme plate MM37 with the map design in black over the base colour. The image picked up nicely and stamped crisp and clean. I did a layer of top coat which I always do after stamping as if the next stage of a design doesn't work you can gently try and remove it using the top coat as protection for the stamping underneath. Most of the time it works! I then sponged black on my nails, then dark brown to add to the burnt look. I finished off putting the small ship stamp design on my ring finger in gold. I used OPI Honey Ryder on my middle finger as it just wouldn't be a pirate design without gold :).

There are still so many more options on this plate, you have to love just how packed full of designs it is.

I'm a day behind but here is my Aussie Nails Monday subtle/work appropriate design. I chose my new favourite neutral OPI Don't Bossa Nova Me Around, I just love it. I stamped with Essie Penny talk and plate BM 314. I love subtle looks so really enjoyed this theme.

Easter Egg Wrappers

Since in Australia Easter falls in Autumn we don't have that many pastel colours around for Easter, instead you see far more jewel colours. So I decided to do a look that looks like the wrapping around a heavenly chocolate Easter egg. I used Powder Perfect Shadowhunter as a base colour and stamped with a bunny nails plate and China Glaze passion. Can't wait for the Easter eggs!
