Cate Ruby - Prissie Lou and British Blue daisies

I love jewel colours! I received these polishes for Mother's day and just had to do a look with them together. I guess I've followed the age old phrase, blue and green should never be seen without a colour in-between and while I love this look it's not a rule I agree with. I love blue and green together :). I used a white base on my pinkie and middle finger, then taped the stripes and used a coat of Prissie Lou to make the stripes. The daisies were made with my dotting tool.

Cate Ruby Liquid Sand - Razzle Dazzle and Star Dust review

I seriously love Cate Ruby polishes and have been building my collection now that they offer the fab not so mini 9ml bottles. You all know my weakness for creme polishes and buying Australian so Cate Ruby has my heart for both. I'm excited to show you they have released a new range of texture polishes called Liquid Sand and I have two to show you today.

First is Razzle Dazzle (love the name) it's a pretty seafoam green, green, sigh, so you know it already has points with me :). It has a mix of small texture glitter and hexes.  The hexes catch the light and the whole result is a gorgeous set of sparkly nails. I am wearing two coats, no base or top coats.

The second one I have to share is Star Dust. Star Dust is a periwinkle blue, soft and so pretty in colour. They both had a great formula and were a breeze to use. I am again wearing two coats.

Cate Ruby Aquatic skittlette

Well it's been stinking hot for this Tasmanian girl. That means the thermometer might not read as high as other places in Australia but it is definitely hot for where I live. I love summer, I truly do but the very hot days and hot nights aren't my favourite part. I know many of you will be in very cold conditions, reading me complaining about being hot :) sorry about that but there is a nice medium there somewhere. Ok on to this skittlette, I used one of my all time fav Australian brands Cate Ruby, I love the quality of their cremes and this one, Aquatic didn't disappoint. I then did my ring finger in OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls and my middle finger in China Glaze I'm Not Lion. I stamped with Essie Good as Gold and then for something different I added  Celestial Cosmetics matte top coat (review coming soon) over the ring and middle fingers. I like how it changes textures and the look. It really is nice for a change and I like how the glitter looks with a matte top coat.

Cate Ruby Raspberry Sorbet Valentine's nail art

This polish is just incredible, it is a raspberry red with a leaning towards pink. I just love the colour and it's completely unique to anything else in my collection. Raspberry Sorbet is a rich creme polish that applies easily. I've done another simple Valentine's Day design. Just white dots, stripes and a heart on my ring finger made using a template sticker.

Teddy Mani for Wave of Polish Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness

I had to try the cute Teddy and while mine isn't as cute I like him. Unfortunately my camera ran out of batteries so I only got one good picture. The pastel blue I used is Cate Ruby's Sky and the oink is Alanna Renee's It's a Girl. I love the cuteness factor on this look :).

AN Monday - Favourite Sports Team

My favourite sports team is definitely the West Coast Eagles from AFL. So to create this look I use Cate Ruby Navy Star as a deep blue base. I then used tap to add white tips, allowed them to dry and then added a chevron of Zoya Ziv. It's not perfect but I love the overall look.

Aussie Nails Monday - Bling!

Using the gorgeous Cate Ruby Sky, I added some medium clear rhinestones and some smaller blue rhinestones to add the bling factor that is the theme of this weeks Aussie Nails Monday. Even though it's Tuesday lol, one day I will catch up  :)

I love how this turned out and is just enough bling for me :)

Here is the second Cate Ruby nail polish I have to review for you and wow it's a fantastic polish. This is Sky and it's a gorgeous pastel blue. I'm going to make a big call and say from a girl who owns many many pastels this is the best pastel blue polish I've ever used. It applies so beautifully and could even be a one coater. Two coats has completely covered the nail and there was no streakiness that is prevalent in pastels. The brush on this one was perfect from the start and fans perfectly, adding to the ease of use with this polish.

Cate Ruby - Navy Star

Today I have a polish from the Australian brand Cate Ruby to share with you. It's my first time using this brand and wow, colour me impressed! 

The formula is just gorgeous, so silky and smooth. The colour is simply stunning, it's a rich dark navy blue but when light hits, it shimmers navy to royal blue. The polish has great pigmentation and could easily be used as a one coater. I wanted the perfect finish and ended up using three thin coats. The brush is a good size but took a little wearing in, it wasn't until the third coat that it started to fan properly and from there on it was a dream to work with. Dry time was excellent. The bottles are stunning and would look fabulous left out on a shelf. They come with a removable rhinestone stretch ring that you can wear, or leave on the bottle. Such a neat idea!
