Hi everyone!

I'm pretty excited about doing a post for Theresa because I'm a big fan of her blog and love her nail art skittle manis! Unfortunately I am not particularly good at freehand nail art (due to lack of patience and my tendency to chuck a hissy fit if something doesn't work out). So, I decided that stamping was probably a better option for me, as it is relatively fool-proof if you use the right equipment.

I used OPI Pink Friday and Do You Lilac It for my bases. Then I decided to mix things up from my usual stamping with foil polishes and try stamping with holos instead.

For the stamping, I decided on Ozotic 513 (purple) and Color Club Halo-graphic (pink).
The Ozotic seemed to stamp better and stood out more than than the Color Club but overall I quite liked the mani.


Then, as is often the case with me, I decided to check Instagram while waiting for my nails to dry.

I then managed to bump my nails which led to a hissy fit and a change of mani – A England St George and Lady of the Lake:

Guest Blogger Relle from The Lazy Lacquerista

Today we have our second guest blogger the amazing Relle from The Lazy Lacquerista. I'm so pleased to have Relle here, and love that I founded her first lemming. Femme Fatale Cosmetics Winter Hyacinth is still one of my all time favourite polishes. Relle's hand painted work in this look is incredible, the cherry is fantastic! Hi everybody!  I'm a wee bit excited about making a guest post on It's All About the Polish.  Not only was it one of the first blogs I followed, but Theresa was solely responsible for my first lemming infestation after I saw her photos of Femme Fatale's Winter Hyacinth (which is still a top favourite of mine).  This post will be my very first guest post, so Theresa has helped me complete a hat trick of firsts!  

I couldn't resist painting some cherry themed nail art as this post is popping my "guest post" cherry.  It was also a great excuse to buy some new polish, so I picked up Sinful Colours Snow Me White, Innocent and Ruby Ruby.  I am very happy with all three of these polishes, and they were just perfect for what I had planned.  I started off with a base of Snow Me White with a feature nail of Innocent.  Over the white nails I did a freehand lattice of Innocent with a long striping brush, then painted in the cherry and mini hearts using a dotting tool.  I finished off the feature nail with a dark green stem, then outlined it with black and white stripers.  

I let my nails dry for a while, then went to put on my top coat.  Things went a little haywire at this point, and if you're familiar with my blog you will know I am always having little mishaps while painting my nails.  This time was no exception, as I stupidly decided to try a top coat I've never used before.  Luckily I only smeared two of my little hearts before I realised and swapped over to my go-to top coat for nailart, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri.  

Guest Blogger Natalia from Cats-N-Nails

Please welcome our first guest blogger the fabulous Natalia from Cats-N-Nails. I just love that she has done her interpretation on a look I've done! It's so creative and I love to see someone else's ideas come together. 

Theresa has been a great friend and inspiration to me for almost a year now, so I am very flattered to be posting on "It's all about the polish" for the first time!

I absolutely adore her talent for putting together great skittles and have used one of my favorites for the inspiration.

They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but to copy this exactly is not possible - how do you copy perfection? Instead i chose this design as an inspiration and put my own twist on it. 

I used Essie Turquoise & Caicos as the base, and Orly Peaceful Opposition on the accent nail; then added some stamping from MM10 and DRK-C using Essie No Place Like Chrome.

The result was very soft and delicate and I loved wearing it! I hope Theresa finds my little tribute adequate!
