Description from Christine, the name behind Petal Polish.

First up is Bromeliad (existing Streets of Aspley collection : Part 2)

My garden was like a bromeliad production centre. We had hundreds! Specifically we had "Billbergia pyramidalis". They produced the most vibrant red flowers with gorgeous purple tips! And that's exactly what I tried to recreate with this polish.

'Bromeliad' has a vibrant, magenta/red jelly base with purple glitter shreds, metallic purple hex glitter, tiny sapphire glitter, some iridescent bars, as well as different sizes of holographic magenta hex for good measure. It's like a party on your nails.

Did you know? When planted in the ground, these guys clump together (hence why we had hundreds), but when planted at the base of the tree, they'll start climbing up it! We had these gorgeous flowers growing on our frangipani tree.

Fun fact! This flower is in the same family as the pineapple!

I used three coats in these photos, I could probably have done four as it still has visible nail line. However red is one of the worst colours to build to opacity. There were no problems with application though I had to make sure the shards sat properly or they would poke out of the top coat.

Description from Christine on this violet glitter bomb -San Francisco Tibouchina

From the 'Petal in America' collection: A collection of polishes inspired by plants, flowers, and trees, found while on our honeymoon in the United States of America in July & August 2014.

Driving along US Highway 1 through California, your view is typically of giant Redwoods that have been there for hundreds of years. In fact, you’ll even find a few that are now tourist attractions. You can drive through one, there’s a house built in another… magnificent trees!

This Petal - San Francisco Tibouchina is jam packed with green holographic glitter particles, intended to be worn as an opaque glitter bomb. Two to three coats should do the trick. Become one with the trees.

I used three coats here and the application was a breeze. I really like the violet colour as it's just that little bit different to other purple glitter bombs I own.

Description from Christine on this medium blue glitter -Santa Barbara Morning Glory (Heavenly Blue)

From the 'Petal in America' collection: A collection of polishes inspired by plants, flowers, and trees, found while on our honeymoon in the United States of America in July & August 2014.

After a quick detour South to San Diego, Santa Barbara, California, was next on the agenda. All around this quiet, beachside town, I saw a brilliant blue flower climbing over fences and up telephone poles. The shade of blue (Heavenly Blue, even) was just stunning, and I knew it had to be captured.

Small glitter particles in an array of blues, floating in a medium blue base give this Petal some brilliant sparkle in the sunlight and in the shade.

I love the colour of this one!! I think periwinkle shades are one of the most unused colours in nail polish which is a pity as it's so pretty. It took me four coats to reach opacity but it was worth it. This polish has gorgeous sparkle that didn't show in the photos.

I used two coats in these photos and my photos don't do it justice. It's an amazing polish full of sparkles that are camera shy. The formula was great and I love the bright green colour.

These polishes were sent to me for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Please note computer monitors may vary in colour display.
