Sea Siren Code Purple and Seaduce

Today's two polishes are from Sea Siren both fall under the Pantone 2014 Collection and Seaduce is a brand new edition glitter. First I have to show you Code Purple. This is really the most gorgeous of colours, bright, crisp and unique - I love it! As with all application of Sea Siren polishes it applies effortlessly. I am wearing 3 thin coats with top coat but only really as protection as the gloss factor on the cremes is fantastic. I am a huge creme fan and love that this is unique in my collection. I'm not sure why my skin is a weird colour, it must have been the day as some they look odd and others perfectly normal.

This second glitter polish Seaduce is one of my favourites in this collection. While I'm not a pink girl, this many other colours that make it bright and fun. It looks fabulous over Code Purple but I think it would look great over everything. There is purple and pink glitter with pops of red, blue and silver. I love the diamond shape glitter, it's not over done, it's just enough to look fabulous. I am wearing one coat dabbed over Code Purple and had no problems with glitter it all came out easily on the brush.

Sea Siren is cruelty free and vegan friendly and have a 5 free formula. You can find out all the news on their Facebook page and browse the polishes and purchase them through the Sea Siren website.
Sea Siren offer both 15ml Ocean Bubble bottles at $15.95 and Wanderlust 5ml mini bottles for $6.95.

These polishes were sent to me for an honest review. All opinions are my own. Please note computer monitors may vary in colour display.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day Nail Design

.
In Australia, three women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer every day. It could be you, your friend, your partner, your sister, your mum, your gran or your daughter.

There is no early detection test for ovarian cancer and the Pap test does not detect the disease.
Each year in Australia around 1400 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer and more than 1000 will die from the disease.

Today is Teal Ribbon day, a day to raise awareness of ovarian cancer and help find a cause. you can purchase teal ribbon products through the Ovarian cancer Australia website.

For this look I used the gorgeous Kester Black Laguna for the teal and Kester Black French White, the best white polish I've used yet! Reviews on both coming in the next couple of days. I used tape to create the chevron shape.

Please help support and raise awareness of this important cause.

Lilypad Lacquer - Lilac Lovely and Merlot for Me

I have a couple of gorgeous Lilypad Lacquer polishes to share today. The first is Lilac Lovely. The formula on this was really great. I am only wearing two coats as it built up nicely. I am wearing no base coat and on coat of topcoat. The colour is very pretty and feminine and most definitely lilac. The holo power in the sun is fantastic and one of the things I loved the most about this polish was how pretty it looked indoors. Some holos really don't look nice in the shade but Lilac Lovely is still beautiful in the shade.

The second polish is Merlot for Me. It has scattered holo particles throughout and really sparkles in the light. It is a very brown plum, sometimes looking brown and other times plum. Very much like it's namesake Merlot. Application was great and I am wearing three thin coats with no base coat and one coat of topcoat. I love the uniqueness of this polish, it's unlike anything else I have in my polish stash.

If you can get your hands on some Lilypad Lacquer polishes you won't be disappointed.

Sea Siren Pantone 2014 Collection - Triangle mani tutorial

To celebrate Sea Siren's release of the Pantone 2014 Collection I've used the three cremes in a nail design. The gorgeous bright purple is Code Purple, the lavender is Tranquility and the pink is Gossip. I finally remember to take photos of the striping tape method I use to create the triangles.

Firstly you start with 3 evenly spaced horizontal lines on striping tape.

Next you place 3 pieces on the diagonal starting from just a little off the centre.

Lastly you place another 3 pieces in the reverse to how you did above. I have relatively small nail beds so you may find you need to use 4 pieces of tape.

Next you grab a nail art brush and after pressing down on the tape to make sure you won't have any seepage, you carefully fill in the triangle sections.

I hope you all have a try, don't forget to post the link if you do!

Aussie Nails Monday - Saran Wrap Mani

I did actually get this done on Monday but haven't had time to post it until now. There is only one photo as I have so many new pretties to show you I'm very time poor when it comes to being at the computer. I wanted a copper patina look for this mani. I think I got it but wished I'd take a little more green off. It looked a lot better in real life than it photographed. I used Sea Siren Cosmetic's Bronzed Siren for the base and Sea Siren's Motion of the Ocean for the green. Both polishes will have their own swatches in the next few days.

Have a fabulous day, Tx

Sea Siren Cosmetics - Seas the Day and Seaquake

I'm excited to show you two brand new polishes that have only just been released by Sea Siren Cosmetics.

The first one I have for you is a gorgeous shimmer in a purple/magenta shade. The shimmer on this polish is just gorgeous and adds a wonderful sparkle to the nails. The colour is so pretty and this polish has been released into the Pantone 2014 collection which has various shades of wild orchid. Application was great, the first coat seemed sheer but it built up nicely with the second coat. I am wearing my normal three coats and am very happy with the opaqueness three coats achieved. Dry time was good and the formula is just lovely.

The second beauty I have to share is Seaquake. Seaquake is in a clear base with gorgeous gold, purple, pink and orange glitter. I love the addition of the orange as it brings a real pop to the polish. All of the glitters are lovely and bright and the formula was just right. There is some curling of the glitter in the small hexes. As they are small, two coats of topcoat still made the nail smooth, with no parts of the glitter sticking out. I actually don't mind that the curl of the glitter in this one changes the refraction of light so it adds depth to the polish. If it had of been bigger glitters I would have more of a problem. It is there though so needs to be mentioned. I have dabbed oe coat of Seaquake over Seas the Day and just love it.

Powder Perfect Polish - Troubadour Collection - Aquitaine and Salut D'Amor

Today I have two new polishes from Powder Perfect's new collection the Troubadour Collection.

These polishes are available from the  Powder Perfect Polish website at $10 for a 13ml bottle. Powder Perfect Polish is 5 free. It contains no; formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalate, camphor and tosylamide/formaldehyde resin. Also join their Facebook page to keep up to date on all the news.

Inspired by songs of chivalrous love sung by bards of old called troubadours, this collection features romantic pinks and dreamy pastels.

I love the imagery Jacinta creates with these polishes and these are definitely romantic and dreamy. The first one I have today is Aquitaine, a beautiful, rich cream glossy creme. The first coat was a little streaky but it resolved this issue with the next coat. I am wearing my usual 3 coats and I did need them for full opaqueness but with careful application this could be a 2 coat polish. The drying time was fab and I love the glossy finish. The above photo is taken in direct sunlight but I was losing light so the ones underneath are in the shade. Aquitaine is a great neutral polish and a must have colour for your stash.

Today's second beauty is Salut D'Amor, another gorgeous glossy creme polish. The colour of this polish is beautiful, somewhere between a dusty pink and mauve. The first coat was a little sheer but the second coat built it up nicely. I am again wearing 3 coats as is my habit but I did require the three thin coats for opaqueness. It may well be that with thicker coats only 2 would be necessary. As you know, I'm not a pink kind of girl but this polish is enough to win even me over because it leans more to the mauve side. It is dreamy and romantic <3
